Today, I have handed over the charge of Commissioner Of Police, Kolkata to Sri Ranjit Kr Pachnanda,IPS. It was my pleasure to remain associated with Kolkata Police and to serve the people of Kolkata as the Commissioner of Police since October 2007. I am not sure whether I could live up to the expectation and aspiration of the citizens, but it was a great privilege on my part to render service to them to the best of my ability and intention. The active co-operation of my colleagues and the Kolkattans during all major activities / incidents, made our efforts successful.   My good wishes remain with my successor for providing Kolkata with better services.
